My annual list of the best Santa grottos in the Midlands this Christmas, can see him, in and around Birmingham and the West Midlands. A magical festive day out for all the family combining a 4 mile self-drive Safari and a visit to Santa to make a truly memorable experience. You can enjoy Santa Shows at Cadbury World, and snow showers before meeting Father Christmas at Drayton Manor and West Midland Safari.

The big Midlands grotto guide 2018 - where to see Santa this Christmas
Jingle Bells Escape Room Experience at Resorts World Birmingham We went along to be one of the first families to experience this new grotto activity, and we had such a fun time! You can read our full review of Jingle Bells at Resorts World Birmingham but in essence, you get to help one of Santa's elves solve some clues so you can unlock the door to see Santa - all whilst the clock is ticking! Jingle Bells opens on Monday 12th November and will run throughout the Christmas period.

Top 10 Places to Visit Santa in The West Midlands
East Midlands Designer Outlet Grab your coats, scarves and Santa hats as McArthurGlen Designer Outlet East Midlands transforms into a snowy winter woodland, with the arrival of Father Christmas himself to turn on the Christmas lights in a flurry of snow, tinsel and ho-ho-hoing from November 15th. Families will be thrilled to see the Grotto return to the centre, hosting Santa every day from 1st to 24th of December [ The grotto at House of Fraser brings back so many memories for people in the city, including the wonderful days of Rackhams, and year after year we get such great feedback from parents and children.
The House of Fraser grotto will be open from 11am - 5pm all week until Christmas Eve when it will open from 10am-3pm. There will be extended hours on some days, details of which can be found at https: Worth noting that Father Christmas is only with them until 24th December and then it is park only from 27th - 31st December.
Enjoy the smell of chocolate in their 4D cinema, showing The Polar Express and the little ones will, of course, receive a free gift from Santa! There's plenty to enjoy here, and you'll discover how they make sure all of their creatures have a very Merry Fish-mas. Meeting Santa and receiving a free gift for children is included within all admission tickets. You can enjoy the four mile safari, walk through the Discovery Trail that's transformed into a winter wonderland and then go see the man himself and his elves by climbing aboard a sleigh all the way to the North Pole.
The Santa Safari is on during selected dates in November and daily from 1st to 24th December. Alton Towers How fun does a Santa Sleepover sound?! Alton Towers is such a popular attraction with families and the Resort's festive themed hotels, Alice in Wonderland pantomime and Christmas cinema all make for a pretty fun package.
After meeting the reindeer and watching the show, they finally get to visit Father Christmas in an exciting conclusion to their snowy adventure. Following acquisition of their Zoo License, the small Zoo has grown in size and stature over the past year and is now an excellent little day out. Father Christmas takes up residence in their Igloo and children encounter several real animals before meeting the man himself.

With a chance to see some old favourites such as Little the Donkey and Dodger the horse along with some more exotic creatures such as Elsa and Rosie the snakes, the children get a fabulous experience and lots of opportunity for hands on too! The elves will then keep everyone entertained as you wind your way through beautifully decorated caverns and tunnels until you arrive at the magical grotto itself.
A gift is included and there is also a restaurant on site if you fancy turning it into a longer adventure. The museum in itself is a great day out so we have high hopes for an exciting experience! Families are encouraged to search for Father Christmas amongst the costumed guides, meeting some Christmassy Characters along the way.
The challenge is to solve some enchanted clues, sprinkle some magic dust on reindeer shoes and send some letters up the chimney before encountering the man himself who will reward the travellers with a gift.

SANTA SAFARI - West Midland Safari & Leisure Park
Their selection of homemade food including cake! The house itself is decorated for Christmas in a traditional Victorian style and if you time it right, you can listen to carol singers too!
The experience itself begins by doing some Christmas Craft to keep the little ones busy until you are called to knock on the wardrobe door and walk through the fur coats into a magical winter wonderland!
