Oct 5, Meet the Director is a comic, released on May 5, Patch to accompany the Replay Update. Meet the Director follows Miss Pauling and the.

Despite their continued existence, neither of the Mann brothers seemed capable of handling the affairs of their respective companies, so for all intents and purposes the Administrator could have been said to control them. However, the events of the Mann vs.

Machine storyline resulted in her fleeing her post and sending Miss Pauling to bring together the mercenaries in the storyline of TF Comics. Her whereabouts are unknown, but she still probably wields considerable power due to her previous control over every major government on the planet. She tends to keep her operations top secret, manipulating events from behind the scenes. Any development that may chance unwanted attention is swiftly terminated with extreme prejudice.

When the two teams are fighting, she regularly communicates with each team individually from a single microphone connected to a central control panel. By skilled manipulation of a huge array of plugs and sockets, she can tap into a number of communication channels, including ones that address the entirety of the RED and BLU teams.

Her messages are relayed to the teams through an Alarm-O-Tron speaker system, itself connected to a board with a myriad of signs that illuminate in situations of varying urgency, such as " Intruder Alert - RED Spy - In Base ". A massive monitor bank in front of her control panel allows her to keep a watchful eye on events at all times. Her exact motives in ordering the mercenary teams employed by both her companies into mortal combat on a regular basis remain mysterious.

The Administrator is attended by a number of staff, including loyal assistant Miss Pauling and several messengers. In my experience, Miss Pauling, nothing kills friendship faster After her assistant Miss Pauling brought it to her attention that the RED Demoman and BLU Soldier had become friends, she had communication channels opened up specifically to them both.

Through these, she personally encouraged each to kill their new friend in order to earn a mysterious and valuable new weapon developed under Mann Co. Just as intended, this quickly destroyed their blossoming friendship and thus beginning the seven day war.

She gave them the undisclosed info, which included talk of her stockpiling Australium for years, and eighteen idiots to help her with it. The camera passes over the rest of the RED team, who are doing things to pass the time. The Engineer is playing his guitar, Spy is looking at his ticket, Pyro is reading and flicking a lighter, Soldier is standing at attention, Demoman is drinking from his Bottleand Sniper is sleeping] Medic off-screen: Everyone in the waiting room looks toward the door] [Scout emerges from the operating room, his chest glowing] Scout gallant: On June 8,a patch to Team Fortress 2 was released and included an update that placed several doves in various positions in Valve maps.

The doves exploded upon contact, but did not cause players damage.

On June 17,an additional patch was released which added a secondary dove model with animations. Later the same day, the page layout of the TF2 Official Website was updated to feature three doves perched upon the title banner, which was covered by bird droppings. Each dove linked to three separate hidden images depicting a rundown hospitalan empty hospital waiting roomand a doctor's office.

Part of the rundown hospital seen in the first hidden image can be seen in the background of the Medic's page on the official site, fully modeled. Notes The music that plays when the Scout and Demoman are fleeing from a barrage of rockets is a slowed down version of Faster Than a Speeding Bullet.

Throughout the Heavy 's procedure, an X-ray of his body is in the background, showing a bomb lodged inside him. The extracted bomb can be spotted in a bucket behind the Medic. This is the same bomb on the Meet the Medic title card.

The Heavy's Minigun can be spotted in the background of a few operating room shots, resting on its own stretcher. The Medic's Overdose is next to the bucket containing the extracted bomb. When his heart is destroyed, the line on the monitor goes flat. The next time it is seen, after the Medic retrieves a new heart, it resumes its old display as if the machine detected the heart's presence.

One of the Medic's doves is named after Archimedesa Greek mathematician, physicist, engineer, inventor, and astronomer. It's hard to tell what map this takes place in, but according to Valve, it's a modified version of Badwater Basin. It takes a bit of time to see that the entire contents of the refrigerator are a Sandvich, three hearts "Mega Baboon", "Loch Ness Hamster", and one label too small to readthree bottles of Red Shed beer, the BLU Spy's head, a battery for the head, and an ashtray.

From the placement of the Spy's head, it's implied that Meet the Sandvich was done in the same fridge from his point of view, but the Sandvich is on the wrong shelf. Miss Pauling is watching the med-bay through an observation window. She has a clipboard in one hand. The Pyro is reading a magazine with "The Insult That Made a 'Jarate Master' Out of Sniper" on the back cover while playing with a lighter, the Sniper is sleeping, the Demoman is drinking, the Spy is looking at his ticket, the Engineer is playing the song that accompanied the Medic during the surgery scene on his guitar, and the Soldier is standing at attention, eschewing the chairs.

During the start of the last battle scene, you can also see the Pyro near the cliff, running away from the mass of Soldiers in the funny 'humiliation' run cycle.

Check out the background at the start of the surgery scene. The x-rays in the light box show the Heavy has had a bomb lodged inside him.

When the Heavy's heart explodes, the monitor in the background flatlines. When the Medic gets a new heart out, the monitor resumes its earlier display. Gameplay and Story Integration: The Medic is using his Quick-Fix medigun to keep the Heavy alive and conscious during the operation despite a missing heart and generally futzed-with innards, and then uses it to put his chest cavity back together and presumably attach the new heart to his arteries.

Since it's his class video, the Medic gets played for this even moreso than usual in the course of regular gameplay, but he definitely buries the needle deep into the 'sociopath' side. Are you sure this will work? The Medic casually jokes about an incident where he, or possibly a colleague, stole a patient's entire skeleton. The Scout and Demoman have somehow acquired bandages on the battlefield, and the Demoman is rolling around in a wheelchair before being healed by the Medic. Inverted ; the score "A Little Heart to Heart" remains in minor and chromatic sequences through most of the song, but then at the last note, turns into a major chord.

Heavy's belly laughs were completely genuine until he learned that the anecdote was actually about the Medicshortly after which this trope comes into play full swing. Lock and Load Montage: More like a 'get dressed to kill' montage with the Medic putting on his gloves, labcoat, and backpack.

It has never been clearer.

He ends up blowing up the Heavy's original heart passing it off as "progress" and outfitting him with a "Mega-Baboon" heart. Not to mention the severed Spy head, and his anecdote about removing some poor schmuck's skeleton during an operation.
