A story that ends with Martin being dragged into the woods. They even laughed when Martin pretended to be dragged off into the woods. These are city kids, and they are easily spooked, but we find out they have a good reason.

Having said all of that, I did enjoy it although I felt the plot was a little odd and events towards the end were strange and left a lot of unanswered questions. Once again Killborn has created some memorable and also some truly disgustingly twisted characters and it definitely kept me reading A good, scary, intense read for hardened horror fans that are not shocked easily.


The detail that spawns your imagination of this character is terrifying, and his unpredictability leaves the reader unable to relax, one moment appearing disturbingly normal and then spontaneously transforming into a sadistic psychopath after taking offence to an insignificant comment.

I just wish that the author will not listen to his editors and go on and publish his books as he writes them, because the original was amazing!!! Confusion quickly turned to fear, and fear to hysteria when she discovered the front door was barred and the windows were bricked over. One of his greatest strengths as a writer is how to tease a relevant plot point or important character beat from their history, allude to it a few times, and then reveal it when it will have maximum impact.
