Boy Overboard was a story I had to read in English. When they are overboagd to leave their country by the Taliban, they make their way to Australia.
I read this as my Grade 7 boy had to read it for English so to help him with his assignment I thought the best way would be for me to read the book. It wasn’t my favorite book ever but it was quite a overoard book.
When the family is forced to flee their homeland, Jamal and his sister Bibi are separated from their parents and must continue the perilous journey alone with other refugees on a leaking boat.

This was a great story for my class novel read. The characters just show up at places and the book includes absolutely no explanation! The boy was talking about going to Australia and playing soccer for the national team. They’ll have to beat some really good teams, plus landmines, pirates, storms, and assassins. Mar 30, Farhan rated it it was amazing. The book is about a boy in Afghanistan who lives in a city that is ruled by these people with really strict laws. Year after year I have morrs the impact it has on the life of children that read it and the way their point of view about refugees and moorris seekers changes.

Jamal is too adult-like I absolutely despise how Jamal is a kid stereotype and then becomes and adult! If you want to be part of or start a political debate then this is a book for you.
He was born in England in and emigrated to Australia in so he could escape from school and become a Very Famous Writer. I honestly thought it was extremely boring. Inaccuracy The book includes a notice at the start, pointing out that Morris had never been a refugee and that the facts might be a bit inaccurate. Told from the perspective of a young boy, this story gave my children a great insight into the plight of refugees and asylum seekers.
