I was just wondering if anyone was running the aquamist 2d water injection setup . Seems like a very well put together water injection system. My Aquamist 2D Install Water/Methanol Injection, Nitrous & Intercooler Cooling. If you have the 2d kit up and running I was wondering what water Does this aquamist system vary the water based on BOOST? or is it like my.

I attached some pictures of the 2d install. I had to do this several times so that I would figure it out. I think I’ll start water at 5 psi boost. Now, I’m running about 70 pct water to 30 pct alcohol, so its not like its a full 25 pct water. He’s the go-to guy for larger turbo applications, especially for the proper encorporating the rest of the engine’s systems. I’ll try going to two jets and see how it works. Now continue that thought and add in 1st and 2nd gears, and the difference gets bigger.
Steve did a fine job considering he never saw the kit before or installed water injection on anything. I’m more interested in water injection than alcohol because of the price and availability of the two.

We set it up to inject water starting at 5 psi. I think I lost some horse power but have gained torqe and lots of it. TURBO-CARS are easily upgraded in performance just by adjusting the boost pressure and upgrading the engine management system; aquamiwt the hidden drawback of this solution is that even more fuel is being dumped — as a coolant! The thermocouple is a custom made low mass grounded type K used with a Omega handheld digital reader.
I did this with Aquamist off, then again with it on, both times starting at the exact same location. I’ll be running more boost but leaner. What is your current max IDCs? Thanks, for the additional info.
Richard is at SEMA it may be sometime before he can respond xquamist. While the cooling of the intake charge will produce some power increases, those increases are cancelled by the charge space occupied by the water vapor.

Testing the Purple wire as well as observing the Green LED showed that the system thought the fuel injectors were doing something they obviously were not, such as being on constant when the car was in ACC mode.
Aquamist 2d water injection

I could just put a switch in parallel with the boost sensor so it would 22d as if I never reached the boost set point, but if I only do that, then the pump will still maintain the desired pressure, which I want to control as well.
