Kingdom Hearts: Why the Hell Haven't Sora and Kairi Kissed Yet?!
We sure hope Her Highness will change her ways in the next manga series. . Though we've discussed Kairi and Sora's special relationship. Sora and Kairi's romance boils down to not so subtle hints and little else, . "You can show love and explore the depth of a relationship without. Are we really supposed to believe that Sora and Kairi have a strong Maybe in KH3 they might develop their relationship a bit better so that their . I find grand stuff like saving her life ETC to be extremely weak ways to.
On to the quick trip in KH: By the end of the game, he has no idea who Kairi is and has to go into a machine-like pod for an entire year to get his correct memories back.
Sora and Kairi's Relationship
Sadly, as Sora was losing memories of Kairi and everything elseKairi was losing all memories relating to Sora. This adds a bit of longing and wanting the two to be together in the end. They still mention one another and have daydreams…but that is all. The same concept as the first game applies here with Sora trying to see and protect his friends again. The three have a very emotional reunion but Sora only gets a heartfelt hug from Kairi.
Right before he gets on his knees for Riku, giggity! However, no further affections were shown!
One of the key elements of Kingdom Hearts that have Sora as the main character is love. However, that doesn't always seem to be the case for Kairi. She then runs away from Organisation XIII's Demyx who begs her to let herself captured by him so that he doesn't get executed. He even promises her that she'll release her after some time.
We'd think the Princess would simply ignore Demyx's request and keep resuming her escape Although they are now preparing themselves for a final showdown against Xehanort, It has been heavily implied that Kairi and Sora's relationship is beyond friendship.
Also, when Sora later becomes a Heartless to save her, Kairi is able to specifically recognize him and save him. Once Kairi returns on Destiny Island, she returns to the Secret Cave where she sees an earlier drawing of Sora sharing a paopu fruit with her. Kairi gets emotional and adds another paopu fruit to the drawing. The meaning behind it? Well according to the in-game legend, two peoples will always stay connected to each other if they share the same paopu fruit.
Therefore, we could see this poignant scene as a teenage affair in which Kairi promptly answers "yes" to Sora's dating request. His only hinted relationship was with Squall's love interest, Rinoa. However, Seifer's attempts are in vain.
Nice try Seifer, but you definitely took a major L this time. Whenever we look at Kairi's interaction, we can notice a strong collaboration with the water component. When we look at it, we can reflect on the fact that water almost seemed vital to bring life to Kairi's character When we look at Kairi's name in Japanese, It actually means "nautical mile".
However, her individual kanjis means "sea" and "village". After linking her name with these events, It's only fair to say that Square-Enix and Disney did a great job at keeping Kairi's concept theme. They both ranked 3rd in the Famitsu character poll of the series and both have very interesting stories in their own way. Kairi just seems like one of those characters that sits at home waiting for her hero Sora to come back from his adventure, which is typically what previous games were like, 'cept for KH2, where he had to go and rescue her.
But, that's my opinion on the matter. There obviously wasn't enough romance in the previous games, but I just think Nomura could do better than having a "stay-at-home girlfriend" for Sora. If Kairi gets her Keyblade and joins the fight, though, I'm gonna shoot myself lol. I'm going to say a number of things: I actually do tend to swear a bit like a sailor in real life thanks college!
I've been doing my best to curb it since I've been here, so just a heads up for you.
Their age difference makes me cringe. And Aqua was crying and uttering Sora's name because: I bet if it was Riku that Ansem mentioned, Aqua would react in the exact same manner. But since no pairings are really wrong, feel free to keep on shipping.
